This is the second time I drew "Elegans". The first time, before my computer training, I mixed up color Xerox, gouache, and acrylic paint ~ the "kitchen sink" approach. For the digital version, patience was required to find a way to illustrate the iridescence on the wings and to be sure all the pieces were properly scaled to one another.
